"Self-reliant learning is the only way ahead!"
Extremely rapid changes in all societies on Earth are putting new pressures on everybody, especially teachers and their students. Educating young people for a rapidly changing society is very difficult. Teaching is no longer a question of providing facts and figures. Nor is it a question of just refining your method and your presentation skills. It is now a question of helping each and every pupil develop cognitive and metacognitive skills for lifelong learning.
Your role as a teacher is changing
The transition from a 'square' to an open classroom requires a change of roles. The teacher role is changing, at a time when it is more important than ever. Teachers must no longer lock the door to the square classroom behind them. Cooperation with colleagues across the curriculum and dialogue with the students in classrooms without walls is now on the agenda.

You must begin with the woods, not the trees
Modern didactics puts the development of the "whole" individual in the centre with the focus on personal development and lasting techniques for knowledge and skills. As a teacher you can not only deliver "the course", you have to make sure it is integrated with everything else in the curriculum.
A CODEX takes much of the burden off your shoulders
By establishing a platform along our lines, you will save a lot of effort and you will be in a very good position to influence the future of your school. When your headmaster realizes the potential of a CODEX, he or she will love your initiative.
